Asp.net Core .Net 5 Preview 1 is out there now, it doesn't have major new feature though, all focus was to fix existing bugs in Asp.net Core. For code breaking changes you can view list here. To give that preview a try you need to install latest Visual Studio 16.6 preview and to upgrade your existing project update target framework to dotnetcore5.0 and also update asp.net core package references to 5.0.0-preview.1.20124.5.
